About Me
Welcome to my web site. My name is Peter Goodrich and I am a 21 year-old web designer from Sedro-Woolley, Washington. I have been designing web sites for free for about three years and I created this site about a year ago as place to display work that I have done, projects that I'm currently working on, and as a way for future clients to get a hold of me. In June of 2010, I graduated from Skagit Valley College with an Associate in Arts Degree in Web Design. While I am currently working at for Skagit Valley College's Office of Student Life, I am always available for freelance work.
I first became interested in web design back in 2007 when a friend of mine began teaching me the basics of PHP to help with the development of his personal website. While my friend was interested in the backend programming of dynamic web sites, I became particularly intrigued with the frontend design of web sites. As well as learning the basics of PHP, I have also dabbled in other programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and C++. While I haven't gotten far in using each of these languages, I have decided that I will go back and dive deeper into PHP, and JavaScript as these are among the most widely used languages used in developing dynamic web sites.
